Getting Started

Each round drops you into a real place. Study the surroundings, make your guess, then compare it with the answer and your score. Country Mode is the quickest way to jump in; host a party to choose a map and play with friends.

What are GeoCoins?

GeoCoins are the balance shown in your Wallet and beside your profile in the header. You can earn them by completing games, claiming quests, and claiming level rewards.

How do I earn them?

Each recorded game awards 20 GeoCoins for completion, plus 1 coin per 1,000 points scored. The score bonus is capped at 50 coins per game. Completed quests and claimable progression rewards can add more.

Quests

Quests are goals with a progress counter and listed rewards. Your Wallet groups them by time period and milestone, and lets you filter by status or game type.

Daily: the daily set starts over at the beginning of each day.
Weekly: the weekly set starts over on Monday.
Milestones: goals to work toward, such as completing Country games or earning points across games.

How do I make progress?

Read the description on each quest card; it names the action to complete. The progress bar and counter show the progress the game has recorded for that quest. Available cards are selected from the configured daily and weekly quest sets.

Claim your rewards: collect a completed quest from its Wallet card. Depending on the quest, rewards can include GeoCoins and XP. Expand milestones to see all the goals you can work toward.

Ways to play

Game Modes

Country: inspect a location and guess its country. A correct answer extends your streak; a wrong answer or missed round ends the run. The current game setup uses five rounds.
Points: score points from how close each location guess is. The mode is available through party settings.
FFA: party players compete individually for the highest total score.
Teams: party players are grouped into teams, whose scores are combined.

Quick tip: Country Mode asks you to choose a country. In Points Mode, place a pin where you think the location is—the closer your guess, the more points you earn.

Explore places

Maps

Maps define the locations used in a game. Explore lists official maps maintained by the GeoExplorer team and community maps created by players. You can search each list, filter to favorites, and create or manage your own maps from your account.

XP & Levels

Your score from a completed game adds XP to your profile. When you reach the next level, any extra XP carries over. Level rewards are claimable from the Progression page and can include GeoCoins and loot boxes.

Play together

Parties

Create a party from the Game Modes page and share the invite details with friends. In the dashboard, the host chooses the map and game settings, sets up a Points or FFA match, and starts the game. Use team play when it is available in the party settings.

Do I need an account?

Sign in to start games, join parties, and keep your stats and rewards with your profile.

Where can I see my progress?

Open your Profile for stats and levels, your Wallet for GeoCoins and quests, or Progression to claim level rewards.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Create a party from Game Modes and share its invite details so friends can join your lobby before the match starts.
